Classic American Home Tailgate Recipes by Restaurant Tyler

As any Mississippian knows, SEC football has returned to our lives and this season is looking as exciting as ever. Normally, football games are the perfect opportunity for social gatherings. However, in this challenging year, your tailgating traditions may look a little different. Tailgating at home – "Homegating" – is the best alternative for game-day gatherings when the stadium parking lot or campus is off-limits.

Even though your tailgating gatherings may be taking place on the patio or in the backyard this year, fret not: This is your opportunity to take your tailgating to a whole new level! With an entire kitchen and your home's outdoor appliances at your disposal, there are no limits to what pre-game dishes you can feature at your Homegate celebration.

To pump up the fans at your Homegate, Simmons Catfish and Chef Ty Thames of Restaurant Tyler in Starkville, MS, have come up with a fall football menu that will blow your socks off. We're revealing a new Classic American Home Tailgating recipe on our website every week this season! And, you can tune in to Mississippi State University's Dawg Talk Show every Thursday at 7pm to hear about the recipe of the week!

Fans may be socially distancing this year, but nobody is going to keep their distance from these awesome snacks! Don't take our word for it, have a look at some of the inspired catfish dishes Chef Ty has created, and that you can prepare yourself!

You may also order any of these unique dishes when you visit Restaurant Tyler or The Guest Room in Starkville, MS. Or, you can have Restaurant Tyler prepare them for you by ordering off the Pick Up Tailgating menu! Be sure to place your order a day or two before you need to pick up!
